Lacy Threads and Leather Straps Bind a Business
In Pakistan’s commercial capital, Karachi, a company that makes 2,000 fetish and bondage products operates next to a mosque.
KARACHI, Pakistan — In Pakistan, a flogger is known only as the Taliban’s choice whip for beating those who defy their strict codes of Islam.
But deep in the nation’s commercial capital, just next door to a mosque and the offices of a radical Islamic organization, in an unmarked house two Pakistani brothers have discovered a more liberal and lucrative use for the scourge: the $3 billion fetish and bondage industry in the West.

My blahg: I’m Glad I’m a Boy! I’m Glad I’m a Girl! – Thanks Blahg! - April 25, 2009
Found this book posted online…Sexist, full of stereotypes and wonderful all at the same time. Amazing to look back at who we were just a few decades ago:

Spider “Resurrections” Take Scientists by Surprise – YUCK -
I hate spiders. I really hate them and sadly scream like a little girl if I happen to unexpectantly run into one. Thus I’m not happy about this story in the least.

Spiders in a lab twitched back to life hours after “drowning”—and the scientists were as surprised as anyone.

Religulous – I got a question for you all - April 22, 2009
Just got done watching this and I have to say Bill Maher is a bit full of himself, I’ll grant you that. Now let’s move on.
This movie is great, but a bit to much of “preaching to the choir” and not a very good movie to help convert your crazy friend who still believes in eating zombie flesh as the only way to escape burning alive for eternity. I mean seriously the best and most important thing in this film that we can actually use in real life to explain the insanity of religion, is the fact that 16% of Americans are non-religious. WOW. That gives hope if it weren’t for the fact that that same 16% happen to be the most apathetic, and/or least likely to start a crusade. Maybe I should start the 16% club, and rally the troops.
So my question. How do you convert/explain to people that Jesus, is a fairy tale, and that 99% 100% of the Bible, Koran, Torah, or otherwise, is make believe? When will sanity triumph over ignorance? Stories are nice, they can illustrate good ideas, and can provide direction, but they are just stories. Anyone have a good way they like to convince folks that living life is possible with out mysticism? I mean Scientology and Mormons do it themselves just by Tom Cruises actions alone, but the other 3 are hard nuts to crack.
When in India the land of 10000 gods, I was shocked to hear so many people say that being Hindu was not a religion, but a way of life/philosophy with lot’s of good stories. I like that. Good stories, some crazy people and a god for any occasion, all minus the “you believe me or burn in hell” mentality. Oh and less bombs.
For now I’ll go on supporting the FSM, and living a peaceful pastafarian lifestyle.
cheers, ryan

This is a serious offer, so don’t bother emailing me unless you kick ass, or know someone who does.
Worst video or song of all time? You be the judge -
Amazingly bad, seriously over the top. Not sure though which is worse, the song or the video that goes with it? Other contenders below, but make sure to link to your favorites in the comments.
